Wind was founded in 1985 in Columbia, SC and is a
dominant player in the residential/light-commercial
heating and air conditioning maintenance market. Our
service staff currently handles well over 6,000
residential maintenance agreements throughout the
Greater Columbia area and produces well over 6.5 million
in total sales every year. The rapid growth of our
company is due to employee opportunity based on
performance rather than seniority. We employ over 50
men and women who strive to be team and goal-oriented.
Our service staff is comprised of 25 technicians and 4
installation crews. Our service technicians average 45
hours/week each year although flexible schedules are
also available. We are truly blessed to have such
an abundance of great customers, professional employees
and plenty of work.
Employee benefits include a number of areas that are
well suited to a prosperous corporation. We provide
competitive wages, a commission/work incentive program,
a fully inventoried company vehicle including air
conditioning, a built-in file console, and a CD/mp3 disc
player, a full library of DVDs and CDs (available for
checkout) that will educate you on a number of topics
including positive attitude, time management, customer
service, sales and motivation. Also included in our
comprehensive employee package are embroidered company
uniforms (including shorts during summer months), major

can be managed via the internet.
Our service technicians are
on call 1-2 nights per month. We have flexible shift
schedules that maximize quality time to manage personal
life/family time while reaching career-oriented,
production based goals. Vacation consists of 1 week
(1-5 years employed), 2 weeks (6+ years employed) and 6
paid holidays including New Year's Day, Fourth of July,
Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
We also strongly believe in continuing education by
providing constant sales/technical/industry training.
Company provided tools include recovery equipment,
oxygen/acetylene torch, nitrogen cylinder, vacuum pump,
and chemical sprayers. Company tools available for
check out include blower door, duct blaster, and
inspection cameras with video capability. We also now
provide navigational units for those who are not
familiar with our service area. Digital cameras
are also provided for use as an informational tool for
our customers.
